It's That Time of Year Again

It’s that time of year, the time that we all pitch-in and support our homeowners association by submitting our annual dues. The majority of the dues in the budget are used to pay for the lighting, landscaping, and the maintenance of our subdivision entrance. An additional cost this year will be to perform some badly needed repair work to the two entrance walls.

For 2009, the dues will be $25.00 made payable to the
“Lafayette Ridge Homeowners Association”
Feel free to mail your check or just drop it by my house.

Note: You do not have to be an “active member” of the homeowners association to do your part & contribute.

Financial records are always ready for your review. Please feel free to call Paul or email him and he will get a copy to you ASAP.

Upcoming Surgery for LaFayette Ridge Neighbor

One of our neighbors - Melanie Owens - will undergo Parathyroid surgery on Monday at Gwinnett Medical Center. Melanie will spend the night in the hospital. We'll be thinking about and praying for her.

Get well soon, Melanie!

Update: Melanie's surgery went well and she is resting comfortably at home.

Neighborhood Entrance Needs Repair

After 12+ years of being exposed to the elements, the LaFayette Ridge neighborhood entrance requires some much needed repair.

Do we want to use some of our HOA dues (currently in the coffers and/or those due for 2009) to outsource the work? Or, shall we attempt to remedy the problem ourselves? How does a neighborhood entrance work-day sound?

Please share your thoughts and ideas on this matter with our HOA treasurer, Paul Smith.

Get Well Soon

LaFayette Ridge neighbors are sending get well soon wishes to Paden Hood. Paden, the 14-year-old son of Greg and Michelle, underwent surgery on Wednesday to correct damage to his lower back (L-3) that was caused by a football injury last fall.

We are wishing Paden a speedy recovery!
