Neighborhood Cookout Postponed Due to Expectant Rain

Rain is in the forecast for this Saturday's neighborhood cookout. Therefore, the cookout will be postponed to Saturday, May 22nd at 6 p.m. in Emma's backyard.

We hope everyone can still get together on that date.

Mission to Haiti

LaFayette Ridge's Tim Chandler left Friday morning for a week long mission trip to Haiti. While this isn't Tim's first visit to the impoverished area, he said he is looking forward to seeing the area since the devastating earthquake hit. He'll be working with a group of medical personnel in a hospital overrun with earthquake survivors (among his many tasks).

Buddy & Melanie Owens' youngest daughter also just returned from a mission trip to Haiti.

Let's pray for Tim and his group to have a safe trip there and back. We look forward to the pictures and stories he'll have to share. Tim will return on May 1st.

Spring Is Here

This is what I stumbled upon late Friday afternoon while attempting to de-weed the front island. Needless to say, I didn't stick around to see if the rest of his body was still attached to this skin.

Welcome to spring!

As most of you know, the George's moved to Monroe. Currently their home is vacant. When walking the neighborhood, please think to look the place over as you go by, or pick up trash that has blown into the yard. The pool has been drained so we will not have a mosquito/frog pond developing.
