Two Bitten by Dog in LaFayette Ridge

Two LaFayette Ridge neighbors were bitten by a neighborhood dog Thanksgiving morning.

Evelyn's granddaughter and Sandy's son Mike suffered bite wounds. They weren't seriously injured. The dog has been removed from the neighborhood by Walton County Animal Control and is not expected to return.

Get well soon Ashley and Mike!

Update: Mike sought medical treatment with his doctor due to the deep laceration in between his fingers. His doctor said everything was fine and he didn't require a tetanus shot.
Ashley suffered a bite wound and large bruising on her inner thigh. She is doing better now.
The dog was set to be released from WCAC on Monday, Dec. 5th but is expected to be "put down" and won't be returning to LaFayette Ridge.

Ways to Save

The LaFayette Ridge neighborhood blog will have a new feature - Ways to Save - to help neighbors save $$ on various items/goods/services. If you have a Ways to Save tip, please send it to us for inclusion on the blog.

Today's Ways to Save tip(s):
Wal-Mart will price-match any competitors printed price. Just take the ad in & you'll save at check-out.
Take in the Aldi's ad for $.99 whole pineapple and $.79 package celery.
K-Mart has $.99 Russet 10-lb. bag potatoes, for a savings of nearly $3.50 over Wal-Mart's price.
And Target's ad offers Del Monte canned vegetables for $.49.

Wal-Mart will even price-match buy one get one and buy one get one 1/2 off prices (but with their lower prices). However, Wal-Mart won't double (or triple) coupons.

Happy saving!
