Eleven families were represented at the Ladies Meeting
We had a wonderful Ladies’ Night Out on Nov. 10. Thanks to Ms. Emma for hosting the meeting. We discussed the upcoming events for the month of December and hope you all can attend many of the festivities.
Neighborhood Christmas Dinner
The LaFayette Ridge Neighborhood Christmas dinner will take place at the Anna Holbrook House* in downtown Loganville on Tuesday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m. Our HOA dues will cover the cost for the rental, meat and plates/silverware/cups. Neighbors will bring food items to share. Please sign up for what you’d like to bring by contacting Ms. Emma.
* The Anna Holbrook house is located at 137 C.S. Floyd Road (near the intersection with Pecan Street).
Cookie Swap
Make plans to attend the neighborhood cookie swap. This year we will meet at Lauren’s home* at 2:30 p.m on Sunday, December 6. Everyone should plan on bringing 6 dozen cookies (1 to share and 5 to swap). You may want to bring a platter or two to use for collecting your cookies. Please bring your recipes to share as well.
* 1502 La Fayette Place
Christmas Eve Luminaries
We will continue our annual lighting of the neighborhood on Thursday, December 24. If you would like to help, please plan to meet at the Myers’ home at 3 p.m. to make and place sand bags. This doesn’t take too long with lots of helpful elves. Help is needed in lighting the candles as well. This is such a beautiful sight that many people look forward to each year.
Christmas Decorations
LaFayette Ridge neighbors will continue the decorating tradition of wreaths with red ribbon on each exterior window.
Elected Officers
During the Ladies’ Meeting, neighborhood officers were elected. Paul Smith will remain Treasurer, Maria Taylor will take the helm as President and Dexter Whaley and Tim Chandler were voted as co-chairs of the Neighborhood Watch initiative.
