A new Georgia State Patrol Post opened recently on Highway 11 north of Social Circle in Walton County.
The 14,200-square-foot facility is located on a 22.45-acre tract and was funded through the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
The facility will have 12 troopers working out of the post as well as administrative staff, with two more troopers slated to join the staff in the coming months.
