A rezoning request for land at the corner of GA Highway 20 and McCullers Road has caused controversy with West Walton advocates, namely Herman McCart. McCart sent an email and petition to several LaFayette Ridge neighbors recently asking for help and support to rally against a proposed rezoning request for a Southern Sanitation trash company to utilize the property just across from the Country Store (EXXON gas station at the intersection).
The issue goes before the Planning Commission on February 2 and the Board of Commissioners on March 6.
