The Walton County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday evening, with LaFayette Ridge neighbors John & Relma present to give us a report on the hotly-contested zoning bid by Southern Sanitation. According to John, the debate included several good presentations, but the best was in the form of a motion by Chuck Bagley. When Chuck finished the council voted unanimously (6-0) against Southern Sanitation.
Thanks to John and Relma for the update.
Update: Rumor is that while this was voted down, the Walton County Board of Commissioners voted to allow a half-way house to be housed in the former Horizon Software building on GA 20 near Rosebud Road. More on this to come. . .
