Firefighters were called out to a fire incident in the 4200 block of Peace Rose Place, Loganville, in Gwinnett County at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday. According to a press release from Gwinnett Fire and Emergency, the caller was the homeowner who told authorities that he was home at the time of a home invasion and that the intruder had set the residence on fire.

UPDATE on Henderson Ridge Home Invasion:
The burglary suspect, Paul Slater, was taken off a ventilator at Gwinnett Medical Center on Wednesday. He is expected to make a full recovery. According to the WCSO, he will be charged with aggravated assault, burglary and possession of tools for the commission of burglary.
