House Explosion Causes Stir in LaFayette Ridge

A late afternoon house fire and explosion at 2640 Johnson Road caused a stir for LaFayette Ridge residents as neighbors, fire personnel, and volunteer firemen tried to determine the exact location of the blaze.

A house fire at the home of Bob Scott (whose house was recently damaged from a rogue wrecker that crashed through the front door) led to a propane gas explosion. No one was injured but the home is a total loss. The home was under construction and fire personnel are investigating the cause.

Update: According to John, Mr. Scott said he had just finished settling with his insurance company about the wrecker incident earlier this week and had hired a contractor to make repairs starting Monday (Oct 18) and had made a down payment to the contractor. The home burned completely to the ground within 30 minutes of the fire starting.
